A lawyer comes to Jesus, to justify himself, and asks him how to inherit eternal life. Jesus answers with the greatest commandment: LOVE. The lawyer questions further, "but, who is my neighbor?" Jesus' answer was the Parable of the Good Samaritan.

The Book of Luke, only, includes the sending out of the 70 disciples ahead of Jesus. The disciples were sent out to heal the sick, and do deliverance, and declare the good news of the kingdom. While the disciples went to and from Jerusalem, Jesus taught lessons on the road driving home the importance of his nature, the character of Christ. Then, Jesus taught on humility, power by the wrong spirit, and three reasons people refused to be his disciple: comfort, money/tradition, and sin.

The Feast of Tabernacles continues. After appearing at the Feast of Tabernacles, Jesus goes to the Mount of Olives where he is confronted by the Pharisees who bring him a woman caught in the act of adultery. They tell Jesus to stone her as Moses commanded. Jesus' response speaks to the new covenant, eternal wisdom, and the redemption of the gospel.

Jesus sent his disciples ahead of him into Jerusalem for the Feast of Tabernacles. Then, Jesus appears to everyone in the middle of the feast, and in the temple courts. We conclude the episode by speaking to the prophetic fulfillment of the feasts.

After Jesus comes down from the mountain, there is a commotion because his disciples cannot cast out a demon. Jesus rebukes his disciples lack of faith, and takes care of the demon. Jesus leaves Tyre and Sidon, and goes to the Decapolis, a gentile region across the Sea of Galilee with ten cities. Immediately, he heals a deaf man, by touching his ears and tongue, and speaking 'be opened.' The people say 'he does everything well.'
